I have wanted to start my own blog for a while now, and just never have gotten around to actually doing it. I had a store on Ebay, and have closed it down and have made the decision to concentrate on my most favorite thing to do, CROCHETING!! I have become totally addicted, and am even more addicted to collecting patterns. My yarn stash is lower now that it has been in a long time, but that isn't going to last. lol
I hope there will be a lot of you join my blog and comment on my posts and really take part. Since this is my first experience with a blog, I have a lot to learn. Some of you may have suggestions, and I would be glad to hear them. I can use all the help I can get. I really want this to be a success!
So, what are you all working on? I just finished a Round Ripple Afghan to use on the back of my couch. I had wanted to make one for a long time, and always thought it looked complicated.
I finally decided to give it a try, and it was really not hard at all!! I'm very pleased with the way it turned out, and I'm sure I will be making others.
I am getting started making afghans for some of my family for Christmas this year. I have tried one pattern twice, and just don't like the way it looks, so I tried one other twice as well. I decided it was too lacy for a guy, so I'm going to give an old fashioned Chevron Afghan (Ripple) a try. I tried making one back several years ago, and made a mess of it, so now that I'm a little more experienced, I hope it will go better this time.
