Fibromayalgia, Crochet & Me

I've been fighting a Fibro flare that has settled in my legs, especially the right one, for the last week or more. Last night it got significantly worse. I can hardly get up out of a chair, and sure can't stand for long. I probably brought on on myself with all the extra cleaning I've been doing around home. Hubby & I have moved furniture, steam cleaned carpet, put up new curtains, (That ladder is a killer), etc. I should know better, and I really do, but I was getting things done, a little at a time, and it felt good to my soul. I obviously overdid it. :( Glad I already have an appointment with my Dr on Wednesday. I am due for my blood work again. Looks like I am gong to need some help getting past this.

I am so grateful that I can continue to use my computer, and CROCHET!! I'd lose my mind without it for sure! I finally settled on a pattern for a Ripple Afghan last night and have a good start on it. I want to make some of the more complicated ones, but I will come back to them later. I don't have the patience to deal with a new pattern that requires me to think much right now.  lol

This is a link to the Easy Ripple Afghan pattern I am working on right now:

This photo is from the website. It is not the one I am working on myself. I will post a picture of it when I get further along with it and again when it is finished.

I went Crochet Krazy again this morning, and bought a new pattern for a real pretty baby blanket on Ebay.  It's called Victorian Hearts Baby Coverlet. Here's a photo of it. (This photo was shown on  www.e-patterncentral.com.)

Isn't it just gorgeous!! Can't wait to give it a try!! Baby things are my weakness.

Have a Crochet Krazy Day!!

  1. My first afghan I ever made was similar to that ripple - all dc's and didn't have to pay a lot of attention to it. I think I was about 12 or 14 when I made it and gave it to my grandmother for Christmas.

LOVE the look of the baby blanket. Can't buy a new pattern right now but may put that on my wish list. ;)
